Boss Gary Bowyer is pleased to see Adam Henley's hard work rewarded with an international call-up for Wales.
The Rovers full back, who has been capped for Wales up to Under-21 level, has been named in Chris Coleman's senior squad for their Euro 2016 qualifier against Israel next week.
It is the first full call-up for the 20-year-old, having previously been involved in the Welsh squad for an end of season friendly against Mexico in America in May 2012.
"I am absolutely delighted and disappointed at the same time, because I'd have liked him to have a rest," said Bowyer.
"But from a serious point of view it is well-earned and terrific for him.
"I think his defending has never been in doubt, he's a fantastic one v one defender, with great strength and great pace.
"What has really been impressive over the last month is his decision making on the ball and the improvement that he has made with the ball.
"And he scored his first league goal as well, it is a terrific effort."
The match against Israel takes place in Haifa, on Saturday 28th March.
