Fixtures out today!

17 June 2015

The wait is almost over ... the Championship fixture list for the 2015-16 season will be announced at 9am this morning.

All eyes will be on Rovers’ opening day opponents and the return of the eagerly-anticipated East Lancashire derby against Burnley.
Other key fixtures fans will be keen to look out for include a renewed rivalry with Preston North End, a first-ever league meeting with MK Dons and games against newly-relegated QPR and Hull City.
It’s approaching 15 years since Rovers and Preston last locked horns in a competitive match – Matt Jansen netting the goal that saw Graeme Souness’ side promoted to the Premier League in May 2001.
Rovers have kicked off the last two Championship campaigns with 1-1 draws, against Cardiff City and Derby County, so Gary Bowyer’s side will be hoping to get the 2015-16 season off to a winning start.

From short trips to Bolton and long journeys to Brighton, we will have all the key Rovers dates for your diary from 9am.
