Corry Evans is expected to start for Northern Ireland in tonight’s big Euro 2016 qualifier at home to Romania.

The Rovers midfielder played the full 90 minutes in the warm-up match with Qatar last month and will hope to earn his 29th cap in the top-of-the-table clash at Windsor Park this evening.

Having secured four wins from their opening five games, Northern Ireland sit just one point and one place behind Group F rivals Romania.

The only blemish on their near-perfect qualifying campaign came in the reverse fixture in Bucharest back in November, when Michael O'Neill's side slipped to a 2-0 defeat.

If Northern Ireland can reverse that result, they will leapfrog Romania into top spot, putting them in pole position to reach their first major tournament finals in 29 years.
