Darragh on duty

5 June 2015

Darragh Lenihan will hope to pull on the green shirt of the Republic of Ireland this afternoon when their Under-21s take on their English counterparts in a friendly international.

The versatile Rover missed out on the action as the Irish went down 2-1 to England 'C' in Galway on Monday, so will look to be involved at St. George's Park later today.

• Meanwhile in Dublin, Corry Evans' Northern Ireland played the Republic of Ireland in a behind closed doors match at the Aviva Stadium as part of their preparations for the forthcoming Euro 2016 qualifier against Romania next Friday.

The closely run contest between the two neighbours ended in a 0-0 draw.
