Rovers have completed their first signing of the summer with the arrival of French midfielder Sacha Petshi.
The 23-year-old has put pen-to-paper a one-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months, following a successful trial at the club.
“I’m very happy to sign for Blackburn," he said. "It is a good club, with good facilities and a good team.
“It has always been my goal to play in England. I love English football and I think my physique will suit the English game.
“I’m here to play, to learn and to help the team win lots of games.”
A combative central midfielder, Petshi began his footballing education with Troyes, before joining fellow French outfit Orléans on loan.
After a short spell in Serbia, with Sloboda Užice, Petshi returned to his homeland last season, featuring regularly for Corsican club CA Bastia.
Having linked up with Rovers earlier this summer, the 6'4" Frenchman impressed in the pre-season victory against Accrington Stanley and on the warm weather training camp in Portugal, and had no hesitation in committing his immediate future to the club.
