Rising star Ryan Nyambe has put pen-to-paper on his first professional contract at Blackburn Rovers.
The young defender has signed a three-year deal through to the summer of 2018.
Nyambe, 17, had a standout first full season with the football club, quickly progressing from the Academy to become a regular member of the Under-21 squad that reached the final of the Premier League U21 Cup.
Excellent displays saw the combative full-back rewarded with a first team squad number towards the end of the 2014-15 campaign, and was named on the subs bench for the FA Cup quarter-final replay against Liverpool, and the final league game of the season against Ipswich Town.
Also penning new deals at Rovers are Ryan Crump, Jack Doyle, Mark Edgar, Anton Forrester, Sam Joel, Sam Lavelle and Connor Thomson. They have each signed new one-year contracts, whilst Hyuga Tanner and Luke Wall have signed extensions to their Academy scholarships.
Officially joining the football club from today on Academy scholarships are Ben Ascroft, Alex Curran, Charley Doyle, Mason Fawns, Joe Grayson, Callum Hendry, Tyler Magloire, Matthew Makinson, Stefan Mols, Tre Pemberton, Joe Rankin-Costello, Joel Steer, Lewis Travis and Ben Williams.
