Raring to go

11 July 2015

Ben Marshall is looking forward to getting the boots back on as Rovers take on Accrington Stanley this Saturday afternoon.

The squad has been back at Brockhall for almost a fortnight and will get their match preparations underway later today at the Store First Stadium when they make the short journey to take on the League Two side in their first friendly of the summer.

The Rovers midfielder has enjoyed pre-season so far, but admits it is no substitute for match action.

"It has been good but it has been tough," said Marshall.

"All the lads have come back in in good shape which I think is the norm now at most clubs. You don't want to be coming back unfit.

"So everyone is looking good and we are all raring to go.

"I'm looking forward to the game. Obviously we've not played for a couple of months and I  miss it so it will be nice to get out and play."

Fans can see the match against Accrington by paying cash at the turnstiles at the Store First Stadium. Prices are £15 Adults, £10 Over 65s & Students with a valid ID, £5 for Under 17s.
