The Rovers squad jet off to Portugal this morning to begin their week of warm weather training.
But one player who won't be on the plane today is Jordan Rhodes. The striker sustained an ankle knock in Saturday's 2-0 win over Accrington Stanley and has stayed behind to have a precautionary scan on the injury.
Should the results of the scan prove to be positive, then Rhodes will join up with the rest of the squad later in the week.
Joining the seniors on pre-season for the first time are youngsters Ryan Nyambe, Anton Forrester, Andy Fisher, Lewis Mansell and Connor Mahoney, whilst the four trialists who played in the victory over Stanley - Giles Coke, Dean Furman, Lian Nolan and Sacha Petshi - are all part of the travelling party.
On returning from Portugal Rovers' next pre-season match is against Rochdale on Tuesday 21st July - kick-off 7.45pm.
It is pay on the day at Spotland with admission prices of £10 Adults and £5 for Under-16s.
