Knaresborough next for Under-21s

17 July 2015

Rovers Under-21s will look to build on their impressive first pre-season performance when they take on Knaresborough Town tomorrow afternoon.

Damien Johnson's development squad kicked off their summer preparations with an excellent 5-1 win over Northern Premier League Division One side Burscough last weekend and will step up their fitness on Saturday against the Yorkshire club.

The Under-21s faced Knaresborough this time last year with a nine-goal thriller in a match of high drama at Manse Lane.

In terrible torrential rain, the home side raced into a 4-2 lead, before three goals in the final five minutes saw Rovers claim the spoils 5-4.

Admission at Manse Lane is £4, kick-off is at 2.00pm.

Closer to home the Under-18s play their first pre-season friendly match of the summer when Accrington Stanley are the visitors to Brockhall on Saturday morning,

Kick-off at the Academy is at 10.30am, all supporters are welcome.
