A Middlesbrough fan who made gestures towards three Rovers players at the Championship match between the two sides back in November has been found guilty.

After the one-day trial at Teesside Magistrates' Court, in which Rudy Gestede, Lee Williamson and Markus Olsson all gave evidence, Ernest Goult was fined and given a three-year football banning order.

The police have praised the actions of the three players in seeking that justice was done.
