Rovers' Under-18s have added a further friendly match to their summer schedule with a game against Bala Town.

It will be the third season in succession that Rovers have taken a team to play the Welsh Premier League side.

In 2013, a brace from Sam Joel earned the young Rovers a 2-2 draw, whereas last season Bala ran out 3-1 winners with Matty Platt getting the visiting goal.

Bala, who were knocked out in the UEFA Europa League qualifying round earlier this month by Luxembourg side Differdange 03, will once again provide great experience for the lads.

The match will take place at Maes Tegid, Bala, on Friday 14th August, with a 7.30pm kick-off.

Meanwhile, the Under-18s league start has been moved back three days. The opener at home to Middlesbrough will now take place at Brockhall on Tuesday 12th August, kick-off 12 noon.
