Gary Bowyer will use the two matches within the next 24 hours to put more game time into his players as pre-season preparations increase.

Rovers take on Tranmere at Prenton Park this Friday night, followed by a trip to take on Oldham Athletic on Saturday afternoon.

Tuesday night's runout at Spotland saw the majority of the squad get 75 minutes under their belts and the manager will look to extend that to the full 90 minutes with half the squad featuring this evening, and the rest at Park tomorrow.

"It’s about getting minutes in and once we’ve completed the games this weekend then we’re looking at the nitty-gritty leading into the Wolves game in just over two weeks," said Bowyer.

"The plan will be for people to get 90 minutes, they’ve had 75 and now we want them to get a full match under their belt this weekend.

"That’s why we want both games. It leaves us a bit stretched but we want everybody to have had the minutes and that’s the important thing."

Supporters travelling to Prenton Park can pay cash on on the door, prices are £10.00 for Adults, £7.00 Concessions (Over 65’s and 17 – 22’s), £4.00 Under 17’s, £2.00 Under 12’s (must be accompanied by an Adult) and £5.00 Disabled. Kick-off is 7.45pm.
