Turn performances into points

Gary Bowyer has stressed the importance of maintaining their levels of performance, but backing it up with results.

The Rovers boss believes the side are playing some of their best football of the season, but they need to be picking up more points from their displays.

Rovers go into this Sunday's match against Wolverhampton Wanderers in good heart off the back of their cup win over Charlton Athletic, but Bowyer feels they'll need to be more ruthless in front of goal this weekend to claim the points.

"I think at the moment we are in a rich vein of form in terms of our performances," Bowyer told Rovers Player.

"We are just delighted that last weekend the performance was matched with the result.

"But it is no good talking how well we've played but having not got our rewards for it, it is about being more ruthless, it is about us getting on a run now and getting in and around it."

Rovers were one of the form teams in the second half of last season, with Bowyer hoping for a repeat in 2015.

"We know we can finish strong because we proved that last season," added the manager.

"We've now got to start this year in the league as we have done in the cup.

"We've got to continue and build on that and keep that feeling even higher. Lets start it properly and keep the momentum going."

Tickets for the match will be on sale up until the 2.00pm kick-off. Prices are from £17 for Adults, from £11 for Seniors/Students and from £6 for Juniors under 17.
