Leon Best has today joined Brighton & Hove Albion on loan for the remainder of the season.
The move to the south coast sees the 28-year-old striker reunited with former Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton, who recently became manager of the fellow Championship club.
Best arrived at Rovers from Newcastle in the summer of 2012, but a cruciate knee ligament injury meant he didn't make his debut until March 2013.
Despite scoring on the opening day of last season, at Derby, Best failed to hold down a regular starting role at Rovers and linked up with former club Sheffield Wednesday for the second half of the campaign, scoring five goals in 16 appearances.
Best spent the first half of this season on loan at Derby County, making 20 appearances for the Rams, before returning to Rovers earlier this month.
The forward could make his debut for the Seagulls on Wednesday night as they entertain Ipswich Town at the Amex Stadium.
