Gary Bowyer is aiming to fill the gap left by the departure of Ryan Tunnicliffe.

After spending the first half of the season with Rovers, the midfielder was recalled by his parent club Fulham at the turn of the year.

The Rovers boss was disappointed to lose Tunnicliffe, but accepted the situation could happen, and now will search the market to get a replacement in on loan.

"We could do with probably just a bit of cover," Bowyer told Rovers Player.

"With us recently losing Ryan Tunnicliffe back to Fulham it leaves us just a little bit light in midfield.

"It was sad to see the boy go, he really enjoyed his football here and fitted in well.

"So if the right person came along in that area then that is something that we would certainly look at.

"We've done our home work and identified one or two targets if they become available."
