Ben Marshall admits the players are eager to put last week behind them by giving the fans an enjoyable day out at Wigan.
The Rovers midfielder knows the team were well below the required standard at Ewood last time out as they went down 1-0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Some 3000 Rovers fans will make the short journey to the DW Stadium this Saturday and Marshall is determined to make amends and send them home happy.
"We were disappointed obviously, I don't think we played as well as we can do," Marshall told Rovers Player.
"There was obviously a few boos which is not nice but we understand that, at the end of the day they pay their money to watch us. All we can do is try and give them something to cheer about.
"It is disappointing when you lose in that sort of manner, but all we can do is try and look at it and see what we can do better and move on.
"It is massive, it is a derby so it will be nice to go there and win properly and prove to the fans that we are in with a shout.
"If we get a good win it will be a boost and prove to ourselves that we can get a bit of consistency going.
"There have been plenty of times this season where we have played well and won a game and then we've not followed it up. We know that a couple of wins on the bounce can change everything.
"So all we've got to do is concentrate on getting the results, and if we can get a bit of consistency going then I'm sure the league will look after itself."
