Make home rule count

30 January 2015

Rovers boss Gary Bowyer believes he will get the desired response from his players following Tuesday night’s disappointing defeat at Derby.

The manager is confident his charges can bounce back when Fulham visit Ewood Park this weekend.

“The reaction of the players (in training) has been good and everyone’s gearing up to going and putting things right on Saturday against Fulham,” said Bowyer.

“The reaction was never going to be in doubt. They’re an honest bunch and they know that we’ll demand a reaction from them and I’m fully confident they’ll deliver that.”

With four of Rovers’ next six league games taking place at Ewood Park, Bowyer hopes his team will make home advantage count.

“We’ve just got to make sure we have that response we’ve talked about and start those four out of six at home in a confident manner,” he added.

“There’s been no sulking or moping around, and we’re going to give it a good go, because that’s what we’ll demand of them.

“I still believe we’re only one game away. If we get that win, we’re back on it and we’ll get going again.

“We concentrate on one game at a time, but the block coming up, with four games out of six at home, we’ve obviously got to capitalise on that.”
