Manager Gary Bowyer is hoping for some good news on the selection front ahead of Saturday’s big game against Fulham.
Rovers were dealt a triple blow on Tuesday night at Derby, as Tom Cairney (groin), Rudy Gestede (thigh) and Grant Hanley (head) were all forced off through injury.
All three were missing from training yesterday, but boss Bowyer remains hopeful he can welcome at least one back for tomorrow’s Ewood encounter.
“They’ve not trained today (Thursday),” said the manager at his pre-match press conference.
“But we’ll certainly try and get one of the three, if not more, back training with us tomorrow (Friday).
“It wasn’t great and it disrupted us on Tuesday, but if they don’t come through then it presents itself with an opportunity for somebody else.
“Hopefully they were being sensible and haven’t done too much damage.”
