Manager Gary Bowyer has issued a rallying call to the fans ahead of today’s game against Fulham.
The Rovers boss witnessed first hand the affect vocal support from the stands can have on a side at Craven Cottage last week, when Nottingham Forest almost came back from three goals down to pick up a point against today’s opponents.
“I’ve seen the impact of positive vocal support the other week when I went to watch Fulham,” he said.
“They went 3-0 up against Nottingham Forest after about half an hour and the Forest fans got right behind their team, got right behind their manager and slowly but surely, Forest came back into the game, got it back to 3-2 and could have quite easily nicked something out of the game.
“You can’t actually measure how much of that was down to the fans’ reaction, but it did make a massive difference them being that positive and that vocal, and that’s the same for any football fans.
“These players that go out there are human and they need that support, especially when you’re having a bit of a tough time, which we are at the moment.
“You’ve got to stick together, get everybody at it and the only way you can turn it is by hard work.”
