Chris Taylor hopes his performance in the FA Cup win over Charlton Athletic will earn him a starting place in Sunday's league encounter with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The midfielder made his first start since the end of September and scored both goals as Rovers progressed to earn themselves a fourth round tie at home to Swansea City.

Now as Rovers prepare to take on Wolves at Ewood Park this Sunday at 2pm, Taylor hopes he has done enough to be selected.

"I'd like to think so, that's all I can do," said the 28-year-old.

"When you get a chance you've just got to take it and I feel like I have done today.

"A lot of the guys have done well, so we'll just see what happens, I'll get my head down and get on with it and see what happens in the next game."

Taylor knows Rovers can go into Sunday's match full of confidence following their comfortable win over Charlton.

"We can gain momentum from this, every win is momentum to the next game," added the midfielder.

"Some of the lads have been playing regular football and some haven't but it just gains confidence for everyone."

Tickets for Sunday's match are on open sale up to the 2.00pm kick-off. Priced from £17 for Adults, from £11 for Seniors/Students and from £6 for Juniors under 17.
