Gary Bowyer was delighted with the performance from Chris Brown after making his full debut for the club on Saturday.
After a couple of substitute appearances, the summer signing made his first start in Rovers colours in the weekend FA Cup win over Charlton Athletic.
A troublesome knee injury had sidelined the striker for the majority of the first half of the season, but after coming through his first 90 minutes, his manager has backed Brown to have a real impact in the second half of the campaign.
"Chris Brown was magnificent on his full debut," said Bowyer. "He was a handful all game and he gave their two centre halves a tough time.
"You've seen what he is going to bring to the squad, he's had a couple of false starts, but now he should take a lot of confidence and belief from that and be up and running. We are excited with that.
"The confidence he'll get and the belief he will get, this should certainly see him go all the way now until the end of the season."
Brown and Rovers are back in action this Sunday when Wolverhampton Wanderers are the vistors to Ewood Park - kick-off 2.00pm.
Tickets are on open sale priced from £17 for Adults, from £11 for Seniors/Students and from £6 for Juniors under 17.
