Gary Bowyer was delighted with the way his side triumphed over adversity to progress in the FA Cup courtesy of a 2-1 win over Charlton Athletic.
Illness and injury had made squad selection a difficult one, but the manager was delighted with the way his side performed at The Valley.
A Chris Taylor double ensured Rovers would go through, the midfielder opening the scoring after just four minutes with a fine headed goal.
Charlton levelled thanks to Johann Gudmundsson's superbly taken free-kick early into the second half, but Rovers, and Taylor, would have the final say, sweeping home at the back post to complete a flowing move.
"I thought we were terrific today, some of the football that we played was right up there," said Bowyer.
"We had to make changes due to illness, suspensions and injury, and you saw today the beauty of the squad.
"They're a tight-knit bunch, they fight for each other and they help each other and it was certainly a result for the squad today.
"I'm delighted with certain individual performances but collectively they were tremendous.
"I'm absolutely delighted with the response that everybody has given today, they got on with it and put in a terrific performance."
Rovers return to Ewood Park next Sunday when Wolverhampton Wanderers are the visitors.
