Jason Lowe is targeting an extended run in the side after coming through his first 90 minutes since the end of August.
A stress fracture in his foot had sidelined Lowe for the best part of five months, but after reporting no issues following the draw with Wigan last time out, the former England Under-21 international is eager to make up for lost time from now until the end of the season.
“It’s good to be back again!" admitted the midfielder.
"I came through the game with no problems at the weekend, my body felt fine, so hopefully onwards and upwards to the end of the season now and let’s try and climb that table."
Next up for Lowe and Rovers is an FA Cup fourth round clash against Swansea City. The midfielder has fond memories of the competition after making his first senior appearance for the club in the cup win over Queens Park Rangers four years ago.
Lowe knows it wil be difficult against the Premier League side, but with Rovers seen as the underdogs, he hopes the pressure will all be on the opposition.
“I think the cup is a great opportunity to breed a bit of confidence," added Lowe.
"They are a Premier League team and the expectation on us to win is probably a bit lower pressure wise but we feel we can go and win the game.
"We’re at home, I’m sure the fans will be behind us, so we’ll going and give it a good shot."
