Three points are a must

Rudy Gestede is keen for Rovers to continue their current fine form when Blackpool visit Ewood Park on Saturday.

Rovers followed up their impressive FA Cup win over Stoke City last weekend with a hard-fought point against the striker's former club Cardiff City on Tuesday - thanks in no small part to the Benin international's last minute equaliser.

This weekend sees Rudy and Rovers face the Tangerines, a side the forward opened his season account against with a brace in a 2-1 win back in August, and the striker knows that three points are a must if Rovers are to maintain their hopes of an end of season play-off place.

"We are on a good run, two wins and a draw so we've to take the positivity from this and keep going," said Gestede.

"It won't be easy, Blackpool have had some good results in the last few games.

"They have scored goals, they've changed a few players and the team is a bit different.

"But if we want to get in the play-offs we have to beat Blackpool, it is as simple as that. We are a better team than Blackpool, so we are going to show it.

"We showed against Stoke that we have a very good team and everybody is ready to give everything to get the play-offs."

Tickets for Saturday's game will be on sale until the 3.00pm kick-off. Priced from £21 for Adults, £13 Seniors/Students and £8 Juniors. Book online today at and collect your tickets from the Roverstore collection point on the day of the game.
