Loan round-up

2 February 2015

There were mixed results for Rovers’ loan stars over the weekend.

Goalkeeper Jake Kean, who joined Oldham Athletic on Friday, made his debut for the Latics the following day, keeping a clean sheet in a 3-0 home win over Notts County.
Goals from George Elokobi, Amari Morgan-Smith and Jonathan Forte helped Oldham to victory in League One.
Darragh Lenihan starred as Burton Albion moved up to second place in League Two following a 1-0 victory over Bury.
Midfielder Lenihan played the full game as a goal from Phil Edwards proved enough to secure the points for promotion-chasing Burton.
Josh Morris didn’t enjoy the same fortunes as his Fleetwood Town side went down 2-0 at League One leaders Bristol City on Sunday.
Morris, who played 90 minutes, went close for the visitors, but goals from Matt Smith and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas sealed the win for the Robins as Fleetwood slipped to 11th in the table.
Leon Best was another to end up on the wrong side of a defeat, as Brighton lost 1-0 at Championship strugglers Blackpool.
Best came on as a 55th-minute substitute, but a late Jamie O’Hara free-kick condemned Chris Hughton’s side to a third defeat in four.
