Gary Bowyer hailed fantastic strikes as Rovers made it three home wins in a row with a 2-1 victory over Rotherham United on Tuesday night.
Craig Conway set the tone with a sensational 25-yard strike to give Rovers the lead just before half-time, and although local boy Matt Derbyshire grabbed a second half equaliser, fans favourite Jordan Rhodes notched his 11th of the campaign to ensure a welcome three-point haul.
"I thought the players started the game the way they finished on Saturday and dominated possession," Bowyer told Radio Rovers.
"We looked very comfortable with the ball and scored an outstanding goal at a good time.
"Again there was nothing much in the second half, we limited them to shots from distance and free-kicks.
"We had a great chance with Grant's header when the goalie is out the way, we had a fantastic move with Rudy hitting the post.
"Then we score an absolutely wonderful goal. It is a fantastic cross from Craig Conway, who was rightly man of the match - his workrate was unbelievable. Marshall was terrific at the back post, then Rudy and Jordan caused a handful and it dropped to one of them and fortunately Jordan stuck it away.
"We then have several other chances and opportunities to get the game comfortable. I can't remember Steele having to make a save again, how many times do we say that?
"The points are important, now we have a couple of days recovery before we take a rest from the league with a great cup tie against Stoke City on Saturday."
