Gary Bowyer hopes Jason Lowe's quick thinking means he has avoided serious injury after coming off in the win over Rotherham United on Tuesday night.

Lowe, who has been troubled with a foot injury all season, felt it once more during the first half at Ewood Park and asked to be replaced.

"We'll know more on Wednesday," Bowyer told Radio Rovers after the 2-1 victory.

"It is the same sort of thing he's had before but he's caught it at an early time so hopefully it will be better for him.

"I thought he was terrific in the first half, he was our outlet all the time, so we hope it is just precautionary and that he has been sensible."

Rovers are back in action this weekend when they take on Stoke City in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
