Duo absent from Seasiders clash

Rovers will be without Ben Marshall and David Dunn for Saturday's game against Blackpool.

Both players are making progress in their bid to return to action, but this weekend's Ewood Park match against the Seasiders will come too soon for the pair.

Marshall missed the midweek draw with Cardiff City after sustaining a shoulder injury moments into the FA Cup win over Stoke City, whilst David Dunn, who scored against the Tangerines in the corresponding match at Ewood last season, has been sidelined with a calf strain.

"We are hopeful that Ben might join in training next week which would be a real boost," said boss Gary Bowyer on Thursday.

"But it is all about steadying that one down at the moment.

"David Dunn was back out with us and joined in the first part of the warm-up today so he's getting nearer.

"So hopefully next week he can kick on even further."

Corry Evans came off against Cardiff City with a knock but the manager is hopeful that he'll train tomorrow to put himself in contention, whilst as previously reported, fellow midfielder Jason Lowe will be out long term with a foot injury.

Tickets for Saturday's game against Blackpool are on open sale priced from £21 for Adults, £13 Seniors/Students and £8 Juniors. Book online today at and collect your tickets from the Roverstore collection point on the day of the game.
