Defending from the front

Gary Bowyer knows Rovers need to start keeping more clean sheets if they are to have any chance of rising up the table.

Rovers have only kept teams at bay on five occasions this season, a record the manager knows has to be improved upon.

Whilst Rovers have won their last four matches at home, they continue to ship soft goals, something that has to be cut out.

"We've spoke about it again," Bowyer told Rovers Player. "It is about defending from the front, it isn't just the back four and a goalie thing.

"We need some more clean sheets that is for sure.

"When we reflect on the games and analyse them our goalkeepers aren't having much to do.

"In the Watford game he didn't have a great deal to do, on Tuesday night I can't remember him making a save.

"So that is the disappointing thing and the frustrating thing, but we've just got to keep working hard at it and keep chipping away."

Tickets for Today's game will be on sale until the 3.00pm kick-off. Priced from £21 for Adults, £13 Seniors/Students and £8 Juniors. Book online today at and collect your tickets from the Roverstore collection point on the day of the game.
