Darragh Lenihan has extended his youth loan at high-flying Burton Albion for a third time.
The Rovers youngster, who turns 21 next month, will remain with the League Two promotion-chasers until March 15th.
Lenihan joined Burton on an initial month-long loan back in October, but impressive performances have earned the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international an extended stay at the Pirelli Stadium.
The 20-year-old has been a mainstay of the Brewers’ midfield in recent weeks, starting their last 10 games, during which time Burton have been unbeaten and climbed to the top of the League Two table.
The versatile midfielder also netted the first senior goal of his club career last month, in a 1-1 draw away to Portsmouth.
A regular for Rovers’ Under-21s prior to his move to the Midlands, Lenihan is yet to make his first team debut for the club.
