Rovers have been drawn to play Liverpool in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
In the 20th anniversary of our title winning season, Rovers will return to Anfield, the venue where they lifted the Premier League trophy.
Rovers reached the last eight of the competition after defeating Charlton Athletic in round three, before despatching Premier League opposition in Swansea City and Stoke City in rounds four and five.
Liverpool reached the quarters after defeating AFC Wimbledon, Bolton Wanderers after a replay, and Crystal Palace last time out.
The two teams last met in the FA Cup in January 2000, with Championship side Rovers defeating Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield thanks to a goal from Nathan Blake.
Rovers and Liverpool have met 11 times in the coveted cup competition with the Merseyside club edging it by 5 wins to 4, with 2 draws.
