Paul Lambert has been pleased with the way the team have performed in his first two games in charge.
As Rovers prepare to take on Bristol City later today, he believes the squad have handled the pressure of the managerial situation well and can build on the win over Preston and the draw with Sheffield Wednesday.
"I think it has been a really good start," said Lambert.
"I think the lads deserve a great bit of credit because they went a derby game which was high in adrenalin and high in tempo and we won that.
"Then against Sheffield Wednesday it was my first home game and the expectance level of the crowd, the weather, everything about it, and playing against a good team who is up there on merit having been beaten once in 14 games, so there was so much pressure on the players in the last two games.
"Now the new manager syndrome is gone, that is away, the crowd now know that the positive thing is that the embargo has been lifted. So now we can start to build.
"It is about the team that puts in the most consistant run. The teams that do that tend to go up or get in the play-offs."
