The goals will return for Rhodes

31 December 2015

Craig Conway is backing team-mate Jordan Rhodes to rediscover his fine goalscoring form.

Frontman Rhodes has scored nine times in 23 Championship games this season.

He currently leads the Rovers goalscoring charts however, he is enduring a quiet spell having last found the net in November against Preston North End.

But Rhodes, who joined Rovers back in 2012, has been tipped by his fellow Scot to return to form.

"Jordan has been here a few times in his career, I don't think he needs to worry about scoring goals," Conway said.

"You want one to just hit him in the face and go in or something like that.

"But I don't think it's something that Jordan really worries about, he's been in situations like this in his career before and now he'll probably go and score four in a row.

"That's just something that happens, we're creating chances and yes, maybe we can do slightly better, that's something we can always work on.

"But at the end of the day, it's not all about Jordan, other people have to chip in, which they have been before these two games but that's something we'll work on."
