Paul Lambert has hailed the tremendous form of goalkeeper Jason Steele.
The shot-stopper, who lines up against former club Middlesbrough on Boxing Day, has been rock solid between the posts keeping three clean-sheets in the past four games.
Lambert was quick to praise the former England Under-21 international but also gave recognition to the lads playing in front of him.
"Jason has been great and I think he'll be the first to say that the back lads in front of him have been excellent as well," said boss Lambert.
"He's made saves that have been great, especially the one against Forest, that was a wonder save.
"He kept three clean sheets in a row so I'm pretty sure he's in top form at the minute."
The only goal that Steele has conceded in the last four outings was against Reading last Sunday.
Danny Williams' first-half wonder strike sailed into the top corner from the edge of the box.
Despite slipping to a defeat, Lambert felt Rovers were more than a match for Brian McDermott's men.
"The way the lads have been playing is at a really high level," he added.
"The goal Reading did beat us with was a wonder strike, you'd have been disappointed if Jason had been beaten with the ones at his near post so there wasn't any real cause for concern.
"The only cause was that we never took our chances when we were on top.
"Over the piece I thought we deserved something from the game."
