Rover The Dog has finally learned how to get his paws round a mouse and has decided to join Facebook and Twitter!
The popular Blackburn Rovers mascot has had a busy week with two home games and a visit to see the children at Royal Blackburn Hospital keeping him active, but after finishing off his latest bone and being taken for a couple of walks, he sat down to sign up for the two social networks.
Rover will be letting supporters of all ages know exactly what it's like to be the club's most recognisable canine supporter, posting photos of his appearances at matches and local events, as well as chatting to fans who want to know what he likes to do in his spare time.
His new accounts on Facebook
already feature a few of his thoughts on events at Ewood Park and he wants to make sure he gains friends from all over the world from his new venture.
Rover told us:
"Other mascots tell me what great fun they have on social media, so I thought it was time I stopped spending time scaring cats and instead get to know all my friends and fellow Blackburn fans who are so nice to me on matchdays.
"Everywhere I go, whether it's the Striker's Lounge, Fosters Fanzone or at pitchside, people come up and talk to me and ask for photos, but then I don't get chance to keep up with them between matches unless I bump into them at community events, so I want to stay in touch.
"I'd be delighted if fans share or tweet their photos with me, so that I can see how well groomed I look when I'm on official Rovers duty. I'm also happy to chat and answer questions, so I'll be barking with delight when people get in touch with me."
