Rovers will look to return to winning ways against Cardiff City on Saturday but could be without striker Fode Koita.

The frontman limped off with a hamstring injury against Bolton Wanderers on Monday.

Koita, who has started the last three Rovers fixtures, has suffered similar problems earlier in the Championship season.

The Frenchman will be assessed ahead of the weekend's trip with boss Paul Lambert admitting the match in South Wales won't be easy.

"We've done well in picking up the points that we have," said the Scotsman.

"It's a game we will go down there and try and win, we always try and do that, but against Bolton I don't think we did enough.

"But every game in this league is extremely hard.

"With Fode, it was a hamstring problem, he actually felt it in the warm-up a little bit and we were a little bit unsure but it wasn't too bad.

"We're going to have to see how he is for Saturday."
