Paul Lambert felt Rovers deserved all three points but they were only able to claim one in a goalless draw with Nottingham Forest on Monday night.
The manager was delighted with the way the side laid seige to the Forest defence in the first half, but they couldn't turn their dominance into goals.
The second period was a more even affair, but neither goal was breached under the Ewood lights as the two sides tired.
"I thought we should have had more," Lambert told Radio Rovers. "The first half was the best 45 minutes since I've been here.
"We should have been a couple of goals up, we had Ben's shot that hit the bar and I thought Jordan was really unlucky with his header.
"We dominated the game against a good side so from that point of view I'm delighted with the effort. 11 points from 15 is a massive return and I can't fault the lads for the way they are playing and the effort they have given.
"We tired before the end but that is normal playing two games in three days, but that was a big effort.
"A point in this league can be big at times."
