Lewis Hardcastle has signed his first professional contract with the football club.
The promising midfielder has put pen-to-paper on a two-and-a-half year deal until the summer of 2018.
Having been with the Rovers since the age of six, last season saw Hardcastle have an outstanding first full year at the Academy, making over 30 appearances for both the Under-18s and the Under-21s, as they made the final of the U21 Premier League Cup.
This season has seen the 17-year-old top that with a hugely successful four-month loan spell with Salford City. Putting in impressive displays for the Ammies as the non-league side reached the second round of the Emirates FA Cup, taking League Two Hartlepool United to a replay before being knocked out after extra-time.
Hardcastle's loan spell with Salford City ends this weekend with their match against Rushall Olympic.
