Rovers boss Paul Lambert will give late checks to Corry Evans and Fode Koita ahead of Saturday's match against Cardiff City.

Evans has missed the last two Rovers outings with due to a groin strain, whilst Koita came off just before half-time against Bolton on Monday with a tight hamstring.

Evans has been training since Sunday, whilst Koita's scan came back clear, so both could be in contention for the clash in the Welsh capital.

"Corry just started training the day before the Bolton game so we'll see how he is and how he is feeling and take it from there," said Lambert on Thursday.

"With Fode we'll have to wait and see, we got his hamstring scanned yesterday and it seems fine. But whether he is fit enough we'll have to wait and see with him as well.

"Apart from maybe their pride being hurt, everyone else is okay."

Lambert has kept faith with almost the same set of players since arriving as Rovers boss just over a month ago, but after consecutive defeats on the road, he has revealed he could be tempted to match changes for the Bluebirds clash.

"When you lose it gives you that opportunity to do it and the lads know that themselves," added the Scot.

"If you are a footballer and you don't have people breathing down your neck then you have a problem because complacency sets in. You need people breathing down your neck and if you don't have it you become easy, you think you are comfortable thinking you are going to be picked all the time and that is a dangerous game for a footballer and a football club to have.

"You've got to have that demand of somebody wanting to take your place and that is the competition we've got to try and strive to get here, it is important."

Tickets for Saturday's match are no longer on sale at Ewood but will be on sale on the day of the game at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Rovers fans can buy tickets from the Away Ticket Office at Gate 12 from 12.00pm onwards on matchday. Prices are: Adults £25, Seniors (60+) £20, 16-21 years £20, Juniors (15 & under).
