Paul Lambert hailed his players after Rovers claimed all three points away at Bristol City.

Second-half goals from skipper Grant Hanley and a Ben Marshall penalty ensured Rovers stretched their unbeaten run to six games with a comfortable 2-0 win.

The hosts were reduced to 10 men early in the second half as Nathan Baker received a second yellow card for a foul on Tom Lawrence.

Speaking after the game, Lambert felt his side fully deserved the three points.

"We were great from start to finish," he said.

"We knew this was a tough place to come, as they would be hurting from a defeat and their crowd really got behind them, but I thought we were really professional and we should have been a couple up at half-time.

"That was probably the only criticism from the first-half.

"But credit to the team, I thought we were outstanding and the two goals were excellent."

Lambert reserved special praise for the fans after 953 made the long journey down to Bristol.

He added: "Our fans were fantastic again, it's a long way to travel and I'm glad we won for them."

Rovers are back in action this Friday night when Rotherham United are the visitors to Ewood Park.

Tickets for the match will be on sale until the 7.45pm kick-off, priced from £13 for Adults, from £9 for Seniors and 18-21 year-olds and from just £4 for Juniors aged 17 and under.
