We've got to keep fighting

Rovers new boy Tom Lawrence is confident that the first win of the season will come at home to Bolton Wanderers on Friday.

The Wales Under-21 international believes the side are well on their way to collecting their first three-point haul of the season having been left frustrated in their four league games so far.

"We just need to take our chances more and hopefully we can get the three points," said Lawrence.

"The lads have shown in every game they've played that they are just inches off it and I'm sure it will come sooner rather than later.

"We were gutted on Saturday, we should have won the game but we didn't take our chances. But the boys will never give in, we'll go to the last minute and we've just got to keep fighting."

Signed on the Friday and handed his debut as a starter just 24-hours later at the Amex Stadium on Saturday, Lawrence felt he could have played better against Brighton.

But he is confident that with more game time he'll be able to offer more in the matches to come.

"Personally I thought I could have done a lot more but I'm just glad to get some minutes under my belt and I feel a lot better for it," he added,

"I didn't feel at my best out there but I feel good getting minutes under my belt and hopefully I'll be ready come the next game.

"I played a few games in pre-season but I didn't have too many games to be honest, but I feel sharp and hopefully I'll get sharper every game I play.

"The team likes to play in a good style, they mix it up and I think this team can do well this year."

Tickets for this Friday's match against Bolton are on open sale priced from £22 for Adults, £14 Seniors, from £14 for 18-21 year-olds and from £9 for Juniors aged 17 and under.
