Gary Bowyer has backed Jordan Rhodes to get his first goal of the season against former club Huddersfield Town this Saturday.

Always guaranteed a warm welcome following his three years with the Terriers, the John Smith's Stadium has been a happy hunting ground for the star striker.

Rhodes has scored on each of his three previous visits in Rovers colours, including a hat-trick in a 4-2 win over Huddersfield two season ago, and his manager wouldn't be surprised to see him strike there once more later today.

"It is always a special day for him as he had some great years there," Bowyer told Rovers Player.

"Two years ago he scored a hat-trick in the 4-2 win there and last year he got on the scoresheet again.

"So I'm sure he'll be desperate to get his first goal of the season and there'll be no better place for him than Huddersfield.

"The Huddersfield fans give him a good reception and rightly so."

Supporters who haven't yet purchased tickets for Saturday's match against Huddersfield Town will be able to do so on the day of the game.

Some 800 tickets have so far been sold for the first away trip of the season, with tickets going off sale at Ewood at 4pm this Friday.

Advanced ticket prices for the match are £27.50 for Adults, £17 for Seniors (60 & over), £10.00 for Juniors (17 & Under) and £5 for Under 8’s. After that supporters can pay cash only from the away turnstiles, albeit with a £3 increase on the day.

Fans are also reminded that it is an offence for any spectator to persistently stand in a seated area throughout the game, and to respect others to ensure a comfortable and safe environment to watch the match.
