22 August 2015

Personalities from the world of sport will join golfers at Camberley Heath Golf Club, Surrey for Kick It Out’s second charity Golf Day on Wednesday 2 September 2015.

Kick It Out is proud to offer keen golfers a unique chance to play on the mature fairways of Camberley Heath. Designed by legendary golf course architect Harry Colt, the 18 hole course was listed in Golf World’s “Top 100 golf courses in England” for 2015.

Guests will arrive from 8:30am for breakfast before a shotgun start at 9:30am,where participants will be joined by a sporting personality to form a four ball competition. The day is expected to finish at approximately 6pm.

Guests confirmed include former England striker Les Ferdinand, ITV’s lead football commentator Clive Tyldesley, former England Rugby Sevens winger Ollie Phillips, FA Cup winner Lawrie Sanchez, Southend United Manager Phil Brown, ex-professionals Giuliano Grazioli, Izzy Iriekpen, Jimmy Walker, Steve Sedgeley and Kevin Davies, talkSport presenter Georgie Bingham, Sky Sports’ Rob Palmer and Dharmesh Sheth and broadcaster and former tennis player Dan Lobb.

Prizes will be available, including the opportunity to win a car with a hole-in-one on the fourteenth hole.

The competition will be followed by a two-course luncheon featuring a guest speaker before a fundraising auction with a range of sporting memorabilia and experiences available. All proceeds raised on the day will go towards supporting  Kick It Out’s education work in tackling discrimination in all its forms and promoting equality and inclusion in football.

Roisin Wood, Director of Kick It Out said: “Our golf day promises to be a lot of fun, and a stern competition at one of the country’s best courses.

“It is important to remember that as a charity with limited resources, every opportunity we can take to raise funds is vital and if we can do that in a way that allows people to show their competitive spirit and their skill, while having fun at the same time, then that’s all the better.”

Places for the competition are available at £100 per person or £300 for a four ball team to include a sporting personality.
