Gary Bowyer has called on the Rovers fans to give the same backing that the team received in their last encounter at Ewood Park.
The manager was hugely impressed with the support the side received as it helped Rovers clinch a point against Cardiff City ten days ago.
Now as Rovers face Bolton Wanderers in the first local derby of the season, the boss wants more of the same from the fans to help the team claim that crucial first win.
"I thought the fans at home to Cardiff were outstanding," Bowyer told Rovers Player. "I think they saw the effort that the players are putting in.
"We've said all along and I will continue to say that if the players aren't putting the effort in then obviously the fans have their right.
"If they see the effort going in and the chances being created and just not quite taking them then that is a different matter.
"I think that is what came to the fore on Tuesday night against Cardiff, they saw that and they backed us with it, and eventually we got the goal for them to get us back in the game, and we could have quite easily have won it after that."
