Rovers are pleased to announce the loan capture of Leicester City youngster Tom Lawrence.
The highly-rated forward, who becomes manager Gary Bowyer’s seventh summer signing, will remain with Rovers until January 3rd.
A product of Manchester United’s youth system, Lawrence had loan spells at Carlisle and Yeovil before being handed his Old Trafford debut by Ryan Giggs in May 2014, starting in a 3-1 win over Hull City.
Lawrence joined newly-promoted Leicester last summer, signing a four-year deal. The 21-year-old enjoyed a successful one-month loan spell with Championship side Rotherham, where he scored once in six appearances, before returning to the King Power Stadium and playing his part in the Foxes’ fight for survival.
"It's a good club and I can't wait to get going now," said the forward.
"I knew there was interest but it has all happened so quickly, I'm just happy that is all done.
"I know a few of the lads here already so I'm sure I'll get a bit of stick. I was with Shane Duffy at Yeovil and I know Adam Henley from my time with Wales so it is good."
A Wales Under-21 international, Lawrence goes straight into the Rovers squad for tomorrow’s trip to Brighton, he will wear squad number 16.
