Blackburn Rovers officials met with Disabled Supporters Group spokesman Jim Wareing to clarify matters following recent reports in the local press.

Following amicable discussions, it was confirmed that the fans group will continue to maintain its longstanding links with the club, but will go under a name change designed to reflect the group’s independence and purpose.
This is to maintain the distinction between the role of the football club, which is responsible for providing accessible services and facilities to all fans with disabilities, and the role of the fans group committee, which is to represent the interests of its members.
