Rovers could hand first league starts to Fode Koita and Mo Barrow for Saturday's away trip to face Huddersfield Town.

The pair impressed as second half substitutes in the midweek Capital One Cup match against Shrewsbury and will come into contention for a place in the starting eleven at the John Smith's Stadium.

"When they went on the pitch they added an injection of pace and power and it lifted the tempo of the game," said boss Gary Bowyer. "I thought they were terrific when they came on.

"That is something that obviously we have got to do when we go to Huddersfield."

Fellow new arrival Hope Akpan is also available for Saturday's match after not being eligible to feature on Tuesday night.

So with no further injury worries, that leaves just Chris Taylor absent, meaning a strong squad will head to West Yorkshire.

The manager added: "We are only without Chris Taylor, we think we should have everbody else fit and training.

"He is improving with his rehab and training ever so hard and getting fitter, he is only a couple of weeks away."

Supporters who haven't yet purchased tickets for Saturday's match against Huddersfield Town will be able to do so on the day of the game.

Some 800 tickets have so far been sold for the first away trip of the season, with tickets going off sale at Ewood at 4pm this Friday and at the Oneroverstore, Church Street, Blackburn at 5.30pm this Thursday.

Advanced ticket prices for the match are £27.50 for Adults, £17 for Seniors (60 & over), £10.00 for Juniors (17 & Under) and £5 for Under 8’s. After that supporters can pay cash only from the away turnstiles, albeit with a £3 increase on the day.

Fans are also reminded that it is an offence for any spectator to persistently stand in a seated area throughout the game, and to respect others to ensure a comfortable and safe environment to watch the match.
