Get the job done

28 August 2015

Shane Duffy wants Rovers to put their frustrating start to the season behind them by picking up a first three points this evening.

After four league games Rovers are yet to taste victory, but the Irishman is determined to put that right against Bolton at Ewood Park.

The defender believes that the performances the team have put in this season have certainly deserved more, and feels that tonight's local derby is the perfect time to claim that first win.

"It has been a difficult start for us as everyone knows but Friday can't come quickly enough for us," Duffy told Rovers Player.

"It is a derby game and the cameras are there which adds a little bit to it, but hopefully we'll get the job done.

"We've had great chances, myself included, but we just can't put the ball in the back of the net at the minute which isn't like us.

"But we are getting the chances, I think in every game we've played we've had more chances than the opposition, it is just about putting them away.

"It is frustrating coming off knowing that we should have won the games but we haven't so we have to change that and it'll come.

"The mood is still confident because of the performances but obviously we need the three points to help us kick on.

"The first win is so important to get out of the way to stop it hanging over us, that is the aim, no matter how it is done, get the three points this Friday."
