Ali Johnson bagged four goals, as Rovers Ladies recorded their first victory of pre-season with a 6-3 win over Middlesbrough.
Johnson opened the scoring on 14 minutes, before Kerri Hope doubled Rovers’ lead midway through the first half.
Danielle Sheen added a third, before Johnson grabbed her second of the game just before the break.
Johnson completed her hat-trick just past the hour mark, before rounding off the rout late on.
Manager Gemma Donnelly said: “It was a useful challenge for our young recruits who are all pushing for places in the first team.
“We played some good football and it’s exciting how well the girls are bonding over such a short period of time.
“Middlesbrough are in the same division as our Reserves and they brought a significant number of Reserve and first team players, but our youngsters were by no means outplayed.
“I was pleased with some individual performances, which certainly gave me something to think about for the opening game of the season.”
