Gary Bowyer is expecting a tough opener when Wolverhampton Wanderers visit Ewood Park tomorrow afternoon.

The Rovers boss has tipped Saturday's opponents to be right up there this season after finishing just outside the play-off places last term.

Bowyer has a lot of respect for the job that Kenny Jackett has done at Molineux and believes it will be a testing start to the season for Rovers.

"In my eyes they'll be one of the favourites this season," Bowyer told Rovers Player. "They narrowly missed out on the play-offs last year.

"They've a manager who has managed over 700 games and I'm sure he'll be looking to get to the 1000 mark.

"I know they've lost Sako but they've added some good players, they've spent again, they've spent wisely and they'll be a real tough team to play against.

"In terms of the first game of the season I don't think it could have been tougher."

Supporters who haven't yet purchased their tickets for the big season opener this Saturday are advised to come down to Ewood early.

The club are anticipating the ticket office, Roverstore and collection point to be busy ahead of the match against Wolverhampton Wanderers so fans are requested to allow extra time.

Tickets for the match are priced from £22 for Adults, £14 for Seniors aged 65 and over, £14 for 18-21 year-olds and from £9 for Juniors aged 17 and under.

Season tickets are also still on sale ahead of the new campaign, representing fantastic value for money.

In keeping with the club's commitment to making football at Ewood Park as affordable as possible for supporters, prices for the season start from just £249 for Adults and £159 for fans aged 18-21 and seniors aged 65 and over, and just £60 for Under-18s.

Reserve your seat online today at or call the ticket office on 01254 372000 for further information.
